What We Do

We support the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross by raising money to advance its mission to enrich one’s understanding of the faith while increasing one’s capacity to dialogue with contemporary culture. The University currently has 1,450 students enrolled from 84 countries. The Santa Croce foundation currently supports 9 students from 7 different countries.

Who We Are

The Santa Croce Foundation is a Canadian registered charity that seeks to support the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross. We do this mainly by providing scholarships to seminarians and priests studying at the University and by funding specific programs in the different faculties through joint ventures. Our foundation’s name is derived from the Italian name of the university, Pontificia Università della Santa Croce.

Pontifical University of the Holy Cross

The Pontifical University of the Holy Cross is currently comprised of the Schools of Theology, Canon Law, Philosophy, and Church Communications; the Higher Institute of Religious Studies “all’Apollinare” (ISSRA) is also an essential element. The Academic Building is found in Palazzo S. Apollinare in Rome, while the Research Center and the Library are located on Via dei Farnesi.
